MORRISON MANOR 

Located just behind Scotland Regional Hospice's administrative offices on Lauchwood Drive in Laurinburg, Morrison Manor offers a home-like setting for patients and their families.  Morrison Manor was named after Scotland County's own Emma Neal Morrison.  For information on the Morrison Family, click here.


MORRISON MANOR OFFERS:

24-hour clinical staff providing the highest standard of personalized care

12 comfortable state-of-the-art bedroom suites offering privacy for patients and families in need of a quiet retreat

Gathering areas allow families to make themselves at home in our common living room; our dining room where they can share meals; our bright, sunny solarium; and our chapel, which allows a quiet setting for reflection and reading

An enclosed garden and covered porches for residents to gather with their friends and family.

STAFFING:

Highly qualified Registered Nurses (RN), Licensed Practical Nurses (LPN) and Hospice Aides (CNA) care for patients 24 hours per day

Other Hospice team members include our medical director, social workers, spiritual care coordinators, volunteers and dietary consultants who provide expert and compassionate care during the final stage of life.

GENERAL INPATIENT LEVEL:

When the patient requires more intensive, skilled nursing care and symptom management

When the patient is close to death without a caregiver, or in a challenging home situation

Patients are closely monitored and discharged when the purpose for their admission is resolved.


MORRISON MANOR FEES:

Clinical assessments determine the appropriate level of care. Many patients qualify for the General Inpatient level of care, which is fully reimbursed by Medicare, Medicaid, and private insurance.

MORRISON MANOR VISITOR INFORMATION

Visitors are welcome any time between the hours of 8 AM and 7 PM. Visitation guidelines are listed below: 

1. Staff will provide privacy for visitation. Visits may take place in the patient's room or other more public areas of the facility. All visitors will be asked to respect visitor guidelines.

2. If for any reason a resident does not want to receive a visitor, staff will abide by their request.

3. The Hospice Medical Director reserves the right to limit visit times or number of visitors based on the patient's condition.

4. Overnight visitors require approval of Morrison Manor staff. Accommodations will be made for our overnight guests.

5. Visitors are asked to sign in upon arrival.

6. Children are welcome, but require direct supervision at all times. For the safety of our residents, please do not bring sick children into Morrison Manor.

7. Visitors are not allowed in the nurse's station, medication room, or kitchen.

8. Groups (community, church, etc.) are welcome to visit. As a courtesy to staff, please coordinate group visits in advance.

9. All visitors are expected to behave in an orderly manner. Any visitor who causes a disturbance will be asked to leave.
