Scotland Regional Hospice receives Accreditation with ACHC

Scotland Regional Hospice is celebrating National Hospice Month by proudly announcing its approval of accreditation with DEEMED status by Accreditation Commission for Health Care (ACHC) for hospice care services and hospice inpatient care services. This accreditation is effective until August 1, 2019.


Camp Spinoza 2016

LAURINBURG – Camp Spinoza is a weekend of fun, exploration and sharing for kids between the ages of 5 and 13 who have experienced the recent loss of a loved one. Offered free of charge, Camp Spinoza allows children to enjoy traditional camp activities with trained counselors, while also providing opportunities to share their emotions and feelings about grief with others who are experiencing the same thing.


30th Annual Golf Tournament

LAURINBURG – On April 26th and 27th, Scotland Regional Hospice, Eaton Golf Pride, Scotch Meadows Country Club, and a large number of contributors and sponsors teamed up to put together the 30th edition of the charity golf tournament held annually to benefit Scotland Regional Hospice.  The 2016 tournament and silent auction raised over $133,000 to be used for providing end-of-life care to terminally ill patients in our community. 


30th Annual Tree of Remembrance

LAURINBURG – Harris Teeter has once again welcomed the Tree of Remembrance, a cherished holiday tradition, into their Laurinburg store. This year marks the 30th anniversary of the Scotland Regional Hospice sponsored fundraiser with all collected donations used to provide excellent hospice care and bereavement services to our community. Each $5 donation allows the generous contributor to place an angel on the tree in honor or memory of someone.

Celebration of life, hope

LAURINBURG — Each at various stages in their grief, hundreds gathered at Northview Harvest Ministries on Thursday to reflect on the loss of a loved one.

Scotland Regional Hospice invited the friends and families of those who died in its care between November 2014 and October 2015 to an annual memorial service to light a candle in memory of those lost. Hospice chaplain Robbin Mundy described the evening as a “celebration of life, love, and hope.”

Scotland Regional Hospice Officially Announces Name Change

LAURINBURG – Hospice of Scotland County formally announced a change of name to Scotland Regional Hospice at a staff breakfast on Monday morning. The name was changed to create awareness in those living in the surrounding counties served by Scotland Regional Hospice.
